I go to culinary school and I got this about for a final project about Brazilian gastronomy. About 13% of the book is about Brazilian culinary history, which is great, and rest is about recipes, which is awesome because now I can make the brazilian menu that I have to do.One complaint is that the translation seems kinda effy in some parts ("This is also the time that the call Brazilian cuisine begins to form (...)", "The Portuguese was the idea of mixing this recipe with pig (...)"). It could be that my understanding of the English language isn't very good but those sentences feel weird to me.
The other complaint is that the pages are oddly arrainged and it's a bit confusing in the recipe part. If you can get over that it's a great book with a ton of information about Brazilian cuisine, I'm sure I'll use it again in the future and not just for thi project.
